'Health e-Working' - UK Healthcare eLearning Initiative
Today I read about a cool program in the UK called 'Health e-Working' developed by e-Learning for Healthcare. It is a resource made possible by the UK government's Health, Work and Well-being initiative to protect and improve the health and well-being of working age people.
'Health e-Working (which I think sounds quite catchy) offers six interactive eLearning sessions, each about 20 minutes long, to primary care professionals that cover the following topics:
- Making the occupational link
- Advising on fitness for work and supporting rehabilitation
- The implications of the Disability Discrimination Act (2005)
- Special situations and statutory requirements
- Communications, relationships and trust
- Worklessness and unemployment.
Specialty Dean Director of the Northern Deanery says "...without e-learning it would have been a real challenge to deliver the Equality and Diversity training - clinicians' prioritise clinical work and extra time away would have been a further imposition."
Another win for online learning!
